Hi, my name is Casey.
I am a professional body piercer, wife, and mother. Currently traveling, I'm originally from Bakersfield, CA.
I want to share a little about myself, where I come from, how I got here, and where I'm going.
I come from several different job types, from grocery to child care. I have worked security and dipped my toes in sales. Cell phones, to cars... nothing ever felt right. I never felt proud or fulfilled in what I was doing. I searched very intentionally for several years to find the place that I could call home.
Finally, in 2019, that place showed itself (even though I didn't know it at the time).
Sykotic Ink tattoo and body piercing studio was looking for a front desk receptionist. I thought "let me apply, the worst they could say is no".
From application to a phone interview, then to meet in person... I got the call that I got the job!
This opportunity definitely came at a time when I needed it, but what I didn't know was how much I was going to fall in love with it.
I worked my way from receptionist to studio manager. And while managing the studio, I was able to take on an apprenticeship to become a piercer.
Fast forward, 3 years later... 2022. I can honestly say I am proud of myself.
Not only was I able to take on all the tasks put in front of me, but I was able to learn so much about myself.
With an amazing mentor, I found the thing that gets my mind going. The thing that I can speak about for hours; the thing that makes me want to learn more and more.
Forever growing.
Piercing has become such a big part of life. It's an art that I want to continue to educate myself and my clients about.
My vision is to one day open my very own piercing studio.
Having the opportunity to serve my community with high-quality body art.
Over many years I have experienced getting pierced in various studios and encountered a multitude of piercers and personalities, one thing I can say for certain is customer service and educational value, unfortunately, isn't consistent.
The dream is to build a team that can go above and beyond.
I want to open the minds of those that see piercing(s) as anything less than art, bringing quality and consistency to everyone from first-timers to old souls.
